Pastor Tunde Bakare, the Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, is one man of God that has remained continuously interested and passionate about the Nigerian political situation. For this stance, he has been perceived as different things but the man of God maintains that the reason for his continuous interest and involvement in Nigerian Politics is contained in Malachi 2:7 where it says:
“For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.”
In his broadcast titled the Road Map to Successful Change, Pastor Bakare symbolises the Nigerian political situation using the parable of The Great Mansion.
He gave recommendations for the change Nigeria desperately needs and he conclusively recommended that the current administration should ‘upgrade’ her policy from 2Ds (Deregulation and Diversification) to 3Ds( Deregulation, Diversification and Deregulation).
The message was ended with a standing ovation from his congregation.
