4 Drops of Inspiration from Hidden Figures

The movie hidden figures is an ultimate proof of the fact that genius has no race and strength has no gender. The non-fiction movie is based on the experiences of  three African-American female mathematicians who worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) during the Space Race. The inspiration that oozes from the dialogues and actions in this movie is very energizing. Katherine Johnson, a mathematician who calculated flight trajectories for Project Mercury and other missions, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson went ahead to defy the major limitations of the 60s- race and gender. Instead of Complaining, Do Something!

The movie clearly seems to be screaming if you have not done anything about it, don’t complain about it. Refuse to join the bandwagon to complain about the negative circumstances that will not allow you fulfill your dreams. Rather choose to make the circumstances favourable for your dreams. It was refreshing to see Mary Jackson, an aspiring engineer, achieve a feat that had not been achieved by any black in pursuit of her dreams.

Challenge Systems and Stereotypes

The three beautiful and intelligent women portrayed by this movie refused to be daunted by the obvious segregation against blacks and women at their time and they chose to pursue their dreams at the cost of challenging the systems and stereotypes that prevailed in the United States at that time.

Whatever You Are, Be A Great One!

There was no doubt about the intelligence and genius abilities of these three women who have permanently coloured history with their stories. They were excellent at their jobs and it was only a matter of time before they stood out from others. When you commit yourself to do something, ensure that you excel at it and sooner or later, you will stand out from the pack. So, whatever you are, be a great one!

 were best of friends and they held each other accountable and made sure they reached their goals and dreams. This movie inspires you to choose the right friends because they often determine how far you go.
