Join the #TeachATeen Campaign

Hello Friends!

As a follow-up to Project Teach a Teen, we, at Teens Going for Gold Network, are carrying out an online campaign with the hash tag #TeachATeen on the need to educate teenagers beyond the classroom, that is, the need for consistent teachings on leadership,  ethics, business and vocational skills. The campaign is also advocating the need for parents to become more actively interested in the future of their children and finally, the need for teachers to be passionate about their jobs in molding young lives.

The campaign which is scheduled to last through the month of August, started on the 8th of August 2017. We chose this period because children are currently on school break and parents and teachers need to be sensitized now, more than ever.  on the need to become genuinely and passionately interested in the future of their children and students respectively.

To carry on this campaign, we have chosen  teenagers and young adults who embody the message we are trying to pass across as Ambassadors. These ambassadors have been sharing their success stories and the importance of being taught business education, soft skills, vocational skills and leadership skills as a teenager as we have already seen with the likes of Catherine Omoerah, CEO of Katerah Couture and Alawusa Femi, CEO of 0360 Creative Interiors who were both taught their respective skills as teenagers. We are also sharing quotes  on the need for a beyond-the-classroom type of education on all our social media platforms with the hashtags of the campaign #teachateen #teachvalues #teachbusiness #teachskills #dearparent #dearteenager #dearteacher. You can join the campaign by sharing your own story or creating your own quotes and using the hashtags of the campaign or by simply reposting our posts. A sample quote will be something like this: Ensuring that your child learns a skill does not make you a poor parent, it makes you a wise parent. We are Teens Going for Gold Network on Facebook and @tgfgnetwork on Instagram and on twitter.

If you will like to have your photo branded as above, you can send a message to any of my social media accounts. You can easily locate my Instagram and Facebook feeds on the website.  I am looking forward to seeing your quotes with the #teachateen hash tag.

Endeavor to tag parents, educational institutions and teachers in your posts to enable us reach our target audience.

Have a lovely weekend!
